EA Sports promises the NHL 15 gameplay will be a more lifelike experience, and the fun begins on its release date, September 9.

A new trailer shows developers talk about the implementation of a new physics engine in the NHL offering this year.

The trailer emphasizes the unpredictability and physicality as big parts of the NHL 15 gameplay experience. Player's every action is taken into account to estimate how the play should progress.

The physics engine takes the pro hockey game to a higher level than ever before. While EA Sports has mentioned it earlier, seeing the actual video trailer shows how good it actually gets.

It is clearly evident developer EA Sports are maximizing the game for the PS4 and Xbox One, where player models look more believable than ever.

The player models will feature their own respective equipment which reacts in real time to what happens on the ice.

First off, there are the character models which are in fact layered. The first layer is the body, the second is the hockey player's individual equipment and the third is the jersey. The latter can contour to the body of the specific player and authentically reacts when it contacts the puck.

Furthermore, the gamers' faces will also shift depending on their mood. They will grimace over an unfortunate strike, or smile when making scores.

There is also the cool feature of user-controlled celebrations, which lets the gamer choose from several options – such as embracing teammates or skating around the glass to inspire the crowd to go wild.

While updated, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will not be as impressive as its next generation counterparts on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Developed by EA Canada, the NHL 15 release date for PS4 and Xbox One is scheduled for September 9.
