PlayStation Plus August 2016 free games rumors, prediction: Survival-horror titles likely to be offered free next month?
August is fast approaching and it's time once again for Sony to offer free games for its PlayStation Plus subscribers. At this point, the company hasn't officially announced the titles yet but there are already rumors as to what games will be part of the August lineup.
One of the rampant rumors going around is that "Yakuza 5" will be one of the free games for next month. This rumor started when Eurogamer spotted the title being offered as a free download on PlayStation Store. However, this was removed later on, but not before it was spotted by the online community. This was believed to be an error hinting that "Yakuza 5" was supposed to be an August free title.
There are also other games that fans are hoping to be offered free for the PS Plus program. Sony has managed to release A-titles for the past few months and fans are hoping that they can expect the same for August.
As reported by The Bit Bag, "Bloodborne" and "Infamous Second Son" could be the offered free games next month for PlayStation 4. "Gran Turismo 5" is also rumored to be part of the lineup for PlayStation 3 since Polyphony Digital is set to launch a new game, "Gran Turismo Sport." At the same time, "God of War 3" is also expected to be a free PS 3 August game since a new installment is also on the way.
The "Dead or Alive" franchise could also be made as a free title for PS Vita in August since the fifth installment was released three years ago. It would make sense if the game will be featured on the console. Other games that people are hoping to be included in the PS Plus lineup next month are "The Evil Within" and a "Resident Evil" game.
At the moment, fans should just enjoy the current lineup of games and wait until Sony finally announces the free games in August soon.
