'Rugby Challenge 3' release date tipped to be Oct. 31; Wicked Witch says release date announcement coming 'very soon'
Both "Rugby Challenge" games have been well-received by sports video game fans that a third one is just to be expected. With the announcement of "Rugby Challenge 3," gamers eagerly awaited release. It seems that developer Wicked Witch Software is close to pinning a date for when the game hits retail stores.
There have not been a lot of updates regarding the release date of "Rugby Challenge 3" and fans have been getting anxious. Rightfully so, as the game promises a lot of improvements over the previous title, "Rugby Challenge 2." One of the things fans of the franchise have been looking forward to is the crisper next-generation graphics that make it a great title for the newer-generation Sony and Microsoft video game consoles. This is the first time that the title is hitting the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Finally, fans can rest easy and be assured that game is indeed coming out. And maybe even soon. Earlier this month, the game's developer has finally posted an update on their official Twitter account, @WickedWitchNews.
The tweet went, "Hi everyone, sorry for the delay, we have been travelling. Very close to a release date for rc3, so expect one from @trublugames very soon!"
Fan responses to the tweet have all shared the same sentiment: they are starting to get hyped with the tweet alone, with one even going as far as saying, "there is still light at the end of the [tunnel]." Some even eagerly suggested to further the hype by coming out with videos really soon.
There has also been an ongoing rumour that when Wicked Witch Software said "very soon," it might mean end of October soon. In a YouTube video discussing the game's release date, user Hendri Kruger says his local shop confirmed an Oct. 31 release. At this moment, though, this should be taken with a grain of salt.
"Rugby Challenge 3" will be made available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the PC. In the meantime, gamers can check out the international covers for the game as shown in this post.
