Samsung has unveiled two new laptops joining the ATIV Book 9 lineup, the ATIV Book 9 Pro and the ATIV Book 9 Spin. Samsung's new premium laptops come in all-aluminum bodies and are equipped with Intel's latest sixth-generation Skylake processors.

The Pro and Spin both feature gorgeous touch screens, lighter designs and seamless connectivity," said Gary Riding, Senior Vice President of Mobile Computing at Samsung America.

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Pro features a 15.6-inch Ultra HD 4K touch display with 3840 x 2160 screen resolution. The laptop is slim and lightweight – weighing 4.45 pounds.

The ATIV Book 9 Pro is powered by a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M discreet graphics card and 8 GB of RAM. The laptop comes with 256 GB of SSD storage.

There is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. For ports, there are three USB 3.0 ports, one 4K HDMI port and an SD card readers. The laptop also features a reversible USB Type-C port.

According to Samsung, the ATIV Book 9 Pro can provide up to 6.5 hours of battery life. The laptop is priced at $1,599 and is set to compete with the MacBook Pro 15 and the Dell XPS 15.

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Spin is a convertible laptop similar to Lenovo's Yoga devices. It features a 360-degree detachable hinge that allows the laptop to be used in tent mode or as a tablet.

The Ultrabook features a 13.3-inch QHD touch display with 3,200 x 1,800 screen resolution. The laptop is also very light – weighing 2.87 pounds. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-6500U processor, the Intel 520 integrated graphics card and 8 GB of RAM. For internal storage, there is also 256 GB of SSD.

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Spin is said to provide up to 7.3 hours of battery life. It will be sold for $1,399.

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Pro and ATIV Book 9 Spin laptops will be available for purchase later this month through Samsung.com and Best Buy retail stores.
