Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition has made another appearance, this time on the official Android website featuring Android Lollipop, strengthening rumors that the launch of the device is nearing.

Back in July, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition made a cameo on Android's webpage suggesting that a white model will initially be released.

If and when this variant comes out, Slash Gear thinks that it will run the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition is also expected to sport 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display specs with 1080 x 1920 resolution, 432 pixels per inch, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage with microSD card slot for up to 128 GB, 16 MP rear-facing camera, 2 MP front-facing camera and 2800 mAh battery pack.

With regard to pricing, there would be no significant difference from the current $699 USD value of the original Samsung Galaxy S5 unit, which was rolled out last April around the world.

Google has pledged however that Nexus 6, a Motorola-crafted flagship phone will get the Lollipop update first.

While the tech giant has not yet confirmed a release date for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition, rumors claim that it could be commercially available by Nov. 3.

With this, fans may have to wait and see when will Google release the new Galaxy S5, as the Nexus lineups are seemingly at the top of the company's priorities at this time.
