Samsung has just shocked the tech industry by silently releasing the Samsung J7.

According to Ibtimes, the Samsung J7 has already been released in China and is rolling out to India sometime within the month or after. Samsung hasn't revealed the actual price of the phone but it is rumoured to be at mid-range price to compete with its competitors like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Lenovo K4 Note and LeEco Le 1s. The price in India is speculated to be between Rs. 11,000 and Rs. 12,000. Not only did the phone release in China but also in Europe, specifically in Spain. According to GSM Arena, the Samsung J7 has been spotted in the Samsung website of Spain and is priced at 299 Euros.

For those interested to buy this phone, here are some of the specifications inside. The Samsung J7 comes with a metal frame that houses a 5.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen. The processor of the smart phone is a 1.2 GHz quad-core and will run an Android 5.1 Lollipop although the Europe version mentions that the Samsung J7 is upgraded to Android 6.0 which may prompt users to upgrade the system eventually. Those users who love apps may also love the memory that comes bundled with it which is 16 GB of storage. Generally, these are not really impressive specifications for those looking for power. This phone is more catered to those who can't afford the premium phones Samsung has to offer.

This in return may be considered a bold move by the company because China, India and the other parts of the world that have huge markets can benefit from this affordable phone. It also shows how Samsung can cater to various classes from the premium, middle and low-end markets unlike Apple that only caters to a single class market and is currently trying to expand with the release of the iPhone SE.
