According to the American Live Wire, Telecom service provider Sprint introduces prepaid wireless service Sprint Prepaid priced at $45 per month.

Reportedly, Sprint does this to a lot of options announced by its competitors, such as AT&T, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile US, to accommodate customers who do not want to carry out credit checks or have spending limits. Sprint Prepaid allows customers avoid long-term commitment and pay in advance, just like Virgin Mobile USA and Boost Mobile.

Prepaid offerings

The "As You Go," or no-contract offerings, Sprint Prepaid have new devices and new prices including 3G Moto G, Samsung Galaxy S III 4G with LTE, pre-owned Apple iPhone 4s and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Feature phones are to be introduced next month, and it is expected to offer more handsets this year.

Jeff Hallock, chief marketing officer said that their goal is to respond to the shifting demands of customers through various wireless plans for different needs. The new Sprint Prepaid allows the company to play competitively among the monthly prepaid schemes.

Two different prepaid plans

Customers have two different plans: the Smart plan priced at $45 which includes unlimited talk and text, and Wi-Fi only data plan, though it is not available on iPhone 4s.

The other option Smart Plus is priced at $60 features unlimited text and talk, 2.5GB of data though video streaming may be regulated to 3G speeds.

Those who have Sprint Spark-enhanced LTE device can use Sprint's fastest data speeds in "Spark coverage areas," like Baltimore, Kansas City, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and several other markets.

The current program utilizes a cell phone technology that results in speeds up to 60 megabits per second. Sprint hopes to deploy the programs in 100 large cities in the U.S. over the next three years.
