Amid the fanfare brought about the new Model 3 and refreshed Model S, Tesla has quietly introduced a new entry-level model for its electric SUV range — the Model X 75D.

The Tesla Model X 75D replaces the 70D model, which is powered by a 70 kWh battery. In its place is a new 75 kWh battery that delivers 237 miles of driving range — 17 miles more than the 70D. The new model can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds and attain a top speed of 130 mph. Power is sent to the all-wheel drive system.

Standard features include Tesla's signature falcon wing doors, LED headlamps, power-folding, heated side mirrors, a panoramic windshield, a solid white exterior color, and 20-inch silver wheels. Inside, the Model x 75D comes standard with a light-colored headliner, a dark ash wood trim, multi-pattern black seats, and a five-seat layout.

Customers can also avail of the optional Autopilot Convenience Features for $2,500. This allows for automatic piloting during highway and stop-and-go driving. The new Summon feature also enables the Model X to automatically scan for parking spaces and parallel park on command.

Those looking to add more premium features can do so for $4,500. The Premium Upgrades Package comes with automatic doors that open as one approaches, a HEPA air filtration system, ventilated front seats, leather arm rests and steering wheel, an Alcantara headliner with dash accents, soft LED ambient interior lighting, LED fog lights, and a phone dock.

Other optional packages include Smart Air Suspension ($2,500) for enhanced driving comfort, the Subzero Weather Package ($1,000) with heating for seats and the steering wheel, as well as wiper blade defrosters, the Ultra High Fidelity Sound system ($2,500) with 16 speakers, a large amplifier and a subwoofer, and the Towing Package ($750).

The base Tesla Model X 75D comes with a starting price of $84,200 and will incur an additional $1,200 charge for destination. However, potential customers will be eligible for up to $7,500 of federal tax credit. First deliveries are expected to commence by June.
