'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim': new mod called 'The Forgotten City' to be launched in October
There is a new and upcoming mod that is now being developed for the ever popular open-world game from Bethesda, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." The promising mod is titled "The Forgotten City" and it will give players a different perspective for the game.
The mod, or expansion for "Skyrim" will let players take on the role of a detective and solve a chilling murder mystery. However, the mod has a unique twist to it because in order to uncover the crime, the player must travel back in time and forward.
According to the description by the developer on ModDB via PC Gamer, "The Forgotten City is a lore-friendly expansion to Skyrim with a dark, non-linear story in which you'll discover and explore an ancient underground city. At its core is an epic murder mystery, requiring you to explore, interrogate suspects, fight new enemies, and even travel back and forwards in time."
The developer did also mention in their ModDB post that players will encounter different situations which will surely challenge their morals. It was briefly explained on the same website that, "whether you play as a saint or a sadist, or something in between, there will be repercussions."
Other than that, this mod will also include 30 new characters which the player can interact with. Each of these characters will have an important role to play in the story.
In addition, the mod will feature over 1,200 lines and dialogues from NPCs. As revealed by the developer, this will be voiced by "15 talented voice actors from the US, Britain, France, Canada, and Australia."
"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – The Forgotten City" mod is set to be released this coming Oct. 2015. No specific date yet has been announced.
This expansion is expected to be launched on the Skyrim Nexus and on Steam Workshop.
