'The Elder Scrolls 6' rumors: 2019 release date likely? 'TES 6' to adopt 'Wasteland Workshop' setting?
Fans of the hit Bethesda game franchise, "The Elder Scrolls," are anxious to know when the next installment will arrive.
According to several media outlets, "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be released sometime in 2019 since the company has been observed to release new titles four years apart from each other. Many believe that the game should be ready for this year, since "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" was released back in 2011. However, others argue that it should be by 2019, considering "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" came out just last year.
Another reason why most game analysts believe that fans may have to wait longer for the sixth game installment is that Bethesda is currently focused on developing more DLCs for another one of its popular game franchises, "Fallout 4."
"Fallout 4" recently received its latest update, "Far Harbor," and more untitled DLCs have already been planned for this year. With that said, speculations are rife that plans for "The Elder Scrolls 6" have been put on the sidelines.
Regardless, this doesn't stop the rumor mill from churning and there have already been different speculations in the gaming community that could build up the hype for the game.
According to rumors, the game will be titled "The Elder Scrolls 6: Skyrim 2," to act as a sequel to the current "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." The rumored game locations include Elsweyr, Valenwood, Morrowind and Black Marsh, as previously reported by Ecumenical News. More recent rumors stated that "The Elder Scrolls 6" might even adopt the same setting as "Fallout 4's" "Wasteland Workshop."
Since Bethesda hasn't made anything official yet, it's best to take these reports with a pinch of salt. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is just around the corner and fans can only hope that Bethesda can drop even the slightest update about the game.
