Tim Tebow news: Ex-NFL standout considering political career? [VIDEO]
Is Tim Tebow following Manny Pacquiao's lead?
Manny Pacquiao, a current Philippine congressman who is eyeing a senate seat in his home country this coming May, can see another athlete follow his lead in Tim Tebow.
Speaking to Fox News recently, the former NFL player was thrown an intriguing question on whether he would consider running for public office. Tebow did not give a straight-forward answer, though he did reply - in the safest way possible - by considering it.
If ever he does, it will be to make a difference, which is not totally new to the 28-year-old quarterback who has roots in the Philippines.
Should Tebow seriously consider running for office, he could have a fair chance thanks mainly to the following he has over in Florida. But at a ripe age of 28, would it be wise for Tebow to consider running for a seat in the House or Representatives where he is likely to be overshadowed by the political veterans?
Tebow could consider running for that or even for senator someday. If he feels he can lead a nation, why not the presidency? Now that could be tossing it a bit too much for Tebow and like many aspiring politicians, it would be best to start from down up.
Though he didn't quite hit it well in his football career, his age is up for debate. Entering politics could be an option but perhaps after several more years.
Right now, he has been doing well in causes, including the one where the subject matter was brought up. Tebow was recently at his charity golf tournament where the event raised more than $5.5 million to help fund his many charity causes.
Could he take it up a notch if he were to occupy public office? In a sense, such could be a reason. But as it is, Tebow seems to be doing fine right now with no politics involved.
