The third game in the action role-playing franchise, "The Wtcher," is only a few months old but gamers can now look forward to some new content dropping soon via "The Witcher 3's" "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" expansion packs. The said packs will contain almost 30 hours of new content combined and can be availed with the Expansion Pass.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" was released in May of this year and is described as bigger than the first two titles combined. The upcoming expansion pack, "Hearts of Stone," and the one after it, "Blood and Stone," are set to prove that true. The two expansions will have 10 and 20 hours of new gameplay, respectively — that is reportedly as long as "Witcher 2."

Game director, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, says the two new DLCS will be very story-heavy. He tells GameReactor, "The expansion packs will be whole new storylines with all the elements you've got in the main story (like cutscenes, new characters, new items, new Gwent cards) and many, many more. They will be quite long."

He further teases that the number of hours may still be longer, but that he cannot promise anything at the moment.

While he is mum on the exact number of gameplay hours of the two upcoming DLCs, CD Projekt RED may have spilled the beans on the return of a familiar face to the game.

Via an image on the Steam listing for the "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Hearts of Stone," fans spotted Shani in the said DLC. She was last seen in the first "Witcher" game as a medic, aiding those in need.

Though it is likely that she will play the same role in "Witcher 3," details about her character have not been revealed, thus, it remains unknown if she will play a major role in both expansions or just in "Hearts of Stone."

Community manager, Marcin Momot, even teased fans via Gamespot, "[We'll] leave that for the community to figure out."

"Hearts of Stone" will be available this October and "Blood and Wine" during the first quarter of 2016. People can purchase them as a bundle with the "Witcher 3" Expansion Pass for $25.
