ZTE Zmax Pro release date rumored for T-Mobile with fingerprint scanner
Among Chinese smartphone manufacturers, ZTE has had a fair bit of success in the United States and now it appears that the company has a new device in the works. Interestingly, rumors about the device indicate that it will come with a fingerprint scanner and be offered via a carrier in the country.
VentureBeat reporting on the rumors about the ZTE Zmax Pro states that it is going to be added to the Zmax and the Zmax 2. Importantly, the display on the ZTE Zmax Pro is going to be the biggest among these three and it is expected to come with a 6-inch version with a full HD resolution. As for the carrier, there are indications that it is going to arrive on T-Mobile. Previously, the Zmax 2 arrived on AT&T and had been available via a prepaid contract.
As for the processor on the ZTE Zmax Pro, it is likely to be a Snapdragon 617 version from Qualcomm, so it will have enough power to handle the tasks thrown at it. Coming to the RAM on board, it is going to be around 2 GB and therefore similar to the amount found on the two other phones in the series. There is also going to be a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device.
Onboard memory is going to be increased in the ZTE Zmax Pro, and as per the rumors, it is going be increased to 32 GB. Importantly, U.S. Cellular has a similar smartphone in its lineup from ZTE and is dubbed the Imperial Max. However, its chipset is slightly different and it comes with a Snapdragon 615 version.
Since this is a smartphone made in China, it is likely going to be priced cheaply. If T-Mobile follows the pricing of the ZTE Imperial Max, the device could come with a $150 price tag unlocked.
