Not too long ago, Aaron Hernandez had got involved in a prison fight and was also put on suicide watch. The situation had appeared bleak for the football player until a while ago, but things now seem to be looking up for him. There's not much that Hernandez can be happy about these days, but it does seem like the disgraced NFL player is adjusting to prison life much better than was previously reported.

Within a span of just two years, the former New England player's life has gone from comfortable and promising to a dead end and behind bars. In 2013, amidst accusations of homicide against Hernandez, NFL dropped him from their roster, and it has been downhill for the player since then. Just last year, he was convicted for the murder of Odin Lloyd and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Recent reports have painted a sad picture of the disgraced football player's current situation. While the former football player is unlikely to be a free man again, the upcoming trial of yet another homicide charge against Hernandez has drained his finances so much that he has been forced to sell off the properties and cars he had amassed when he was in the league.

However broke Hernandez might be, the football player still remains appealing to some women. Just recently, TMZ Sports obtained a copy of a letter written by the football player to a female pen pal. Despite knowing that he would be leading the rest of his life in prison, Hernandez still showed the spirit to flirt and correspond with his female fan.

"I'm sorry I couldn't respond sooner but I do receive numerous letters daily. I am doing well and will always, we have so much to be thankful for in life, even when we naturally focus on the negatives," wrote Hernandez

After the fan expressed her desire to visit the former football player in prison, Hernandez replied:

"You should have asked, I would have accepted, but don't regret it, everything happens for a reason ;) lol"

Hernandez's trial on charges of double homicide is set for January 4, 2016.
