The AMD AM4 motherboard has been making a lot of noise in the technology industry these days. According to the new report, the AMD AM4 has been spotted supporting the upcoming Summit Ridge and Bristol Ridge processors. The second generation processors from AMD are considered to head the company's next line of CPUs that are expected to hit the desktop market anytime soon.

According to a report by WCCF Tech, the new Bristol Ridge processor is going to be the first one to be paired with AM4 boards, while the Summit Ridge, which is considered as an enthusiast-grade processor, will follow. The Summit Ridge will come with a Zen CPU architecture, which is expected to improve the IPC (Instructions Per Clock) to up to 40 percent.

The AMD AM4 is also set to be paired with a desktop from HP. Rumor has it that the device is built with specifications that are compatible with the Bristol Ridge processor. The desktop is said to be launched anytime soon in the market and it is expected to give its competitors a run for their money. Certainly, the new motherboard from AMD, which is best paired with AMD processors, is giving Intel a hard time in the competition.

The AMD AM4 has two USB 3.0 internal headers and a couple of SATA III 6 GB/s ports. Expansions are also available, including PCI-e 3.0 x16 slots as well as PCI-e 3.0 x1 slots. The impressive motherboard also has four DDR4 DIMM slots and several connectors such as HDMI, Display Port, PS/2, VGA, DVI, USB 3.0 / 2.0, 2-Channel Audio jack and a Gigabit Ethernet port.

What's interesting about the motherboard is it doesn't have any PCH or Platform Controller Hub, a feature which Intel is famous for.

As of the moment, fans are still waiting for the company to provide significant details with regard to its release date. Tech freaks will have to stay tuned for more updates about the AMD AM4 motherboard.
