The anticipated Radeon RX 570 graphics processing unit (GPU) from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) was reportedly seen on the list of specifications for the new Samsung Notebook Odyssey series of gaming PCs at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 trade show. The graphics card's specification showed that it will have 4 GB or 8 GB of memory.

Based on the Samsung display, the Odyssey will use the AMD GPU or the NVIDIA GTX 1070, hinting that the rumored AMD chip will have more or less the same capabilities as the NVIDIA GPU. According to Reddit user crazybubba64, a Samsung representative at the show confirmed that the displayed specification was not a typographical error. A representative from AMD also claimed that the Radeon RX 570 is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) version of the RX 470 chip.

"I did ask if this was a typo, and the Samsung rep said it is NOT a typo. Didn't get any additional details on it," the Reddit user said, adding, "The card IS an OEM version of the 470. I asked an AMD rep at their booth about it. The 500 series is an OEM rebadge of the 400 series, like how the 8000 series was to the 7000 series."

Meanwhile, AMD's RX 560M graphics, which is also part of the firm's rumored 500 GPU series, was included in the specification of Lenovo's newest Legion Y520 laptop. The gaming computer was listed to be using the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti or the RX 560M as its next-generation graphics. Based on the listing, the RX 560M will also be a direct competitor of the GTX 1050.

Also, speculations claim that AMD's new GPU line up could either be based on the new Vega 10 architecture or a mixed-in of Polaris-based GPUs. However, AMD has yet to announce the full details of its new GPU lineup and consumers have no choice but to wait for the company's official announcement.
