Apple still remains tight lipped on the official release date of their latest MacBook Pro. But with the recent price cut of the 15-inch Retina 2015 MacBook Pro model, the release is most likely coming soon.

Giant online retailer eBay is slashing the price of the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro—with specs 2.5 GHz processor speed, 16 GB RAM, and 512 GB hard drive—from its original price of $2,499 to $1,949.99, inclusive of shipping fee. If buyers are to avail this promo, they can save more than $500.

As for the detailed specs, this specific model runs on an Intel Core i7 5th Generation processor. It sports a 15.4-inch Retina display at 2880 x 1800 resolution. Its battery could last up to nine hours.

Meanwhile, here is the rumored specs roundup of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016.

Externally, the rumored laptop will boast a 12-inch Retina display in 2304 x 1440 pixels resolution. Other rumors claim that the upcoming MacBook will feature a touch screen display. It will weigh 2 lbs. and it is 13.1mm-thin. It is could come in colors silver, gold, and space gray.

Under the hood, the Apple prime laptop is also expected to be powered by the Skylake Core M processor which ramps up to 20 percent max of the computer's performance. The said processor could also contribute to 10 hours battery life, better graphics display and performance.

Apple is still expected to lift up the lid of its MacBook Pro 2016 next month. Also, its possible release in the market is speculated to be around the second quarter of 2016.

However, other rumors suggest that it the upcoming Pro will come out alongside the new MacBook Air at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this coming June. It will be priced from $1,299 to $1,599.

It looks like Apple wants to keep the aesthetic design as similar as the previous models, but it is aiming for a thinner, lighter, minimal, yet efficient MacBook Pro this year.
