Assassin's Creed Unity release date: Temporary workaround for crash bugs in new patch 3 update release

While Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Unity could easily top the buggiest game releases of the year, the studio continues its crusade to bring forth bug fixes to the public via Live Updates.

"The team is working hard on a fix for those players that have been affected by this," Ubisoft posted in one of the forums.

"We have discovered one of the issues that may cause the game to crash at the main menu after pressing the CONTINUE button. This issue affects all platforms," the company writes.

Ubisoft suggests the following steps to users who have not experienced the same issue:

Do not add any IN-GAME RECENT PLAYER as a GAME CONTACT

If you already have GAME CONTACTS, perform the following to remove them:

My Brotherhood > My Contacts > Game Contacts (using RB/R1) > Focus on a Contact (LS) > More Actions (Y/Triangle) > Remove from contacts.

The developers are also encouraging players to continuously send feedback and report issues via the Support page.

Just last week, Ubisoft released patch number 3 for Assassin's Creed Unity.

While the studio has released patches and fixes, several folks from the gaming community have passed their judgment that Assassin's Creed Unity is a broken game.

Ubisoft's forums have been littered with workarounds and fixes, but most of the problems still persist despite these posts. These have led many to believe that similar to the buggy Halo: Master Chief Collection, the game was rushed to make it in time for the holidays.

Obviously, the brand quality will suffer. It is also puzzling to players how the glitch-packed game was able to escape the quality controls of Sony and Microsoft.
