Chinese smartphone manufacturers have been churning out great smartphones over the past few years and the same can be said for Taiwanese company Asus. This has led to a lot of people anticipating the launch of the Asus ZenFone 3, which has been leaked over the last few weeks and appears to have three variants.

As soon as the leak about the Asus ZenFone 3 made its way to the Internet, it was picked up by a number of websites. Going by the information in the leak, the upcoming Asus ZenFone 3 is expected to have three variants with different sizes. The smallest among these is thought to have a display measuring 4.5 inches, while the second biggest variant will have a 5-inch display. The biggest will have a 5.5 or 6 inch version. As for the names of the devices, they are thought to be Asus ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Max.

The Asus ZenFone 3 is expected to be the follow-up to the Asus ZenFone 2 which released last year. However, Asus has a long tradition of offering variants so it is not surprising that the company has two more planned for the Asus ZenFone 3.

The upcoming three models were also hinted at in a teaser that was released by Asus recently. In it, the company stated that the first would be dubbed "Clarity," while the others would be named the "Desire" and "Unlimited." The teaser video also indicated that the three devices would have fingerprint scanners on their back panels. As for their build, the company hinted that they would have metal frames and its back panel would be made from glass.

Coming to the chipset, Asus is reportedly going with the Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm on most of its upcoming devices, but others are going to arrive with a version from MediaTek. RAM, on the top-of-the-line smartphones, is expected to be around 4GB.

Meanwhile, the Asus ZenFone 3 has also appeared on AnTuTu and it was seen with a Snapdragon 820 chipset. As for the release date of the upcoming Asus ZenFone 3, it is rumored to be occurring on May 30 during Computex.
