'Batman: Arkham Knight' update: Red Hood, Harley Quinn as playable characters in DLC

Red Hood, Harley Quinn, and Batman-- three characters with contrasting background stories are set to collide in one exciting adventure.
In a surprising twist, a 'Batman: Arkham Knight' DLC will include Red Hood story missions and may also allow gamers to play as Jason Todd, former Robin and the resurrected Red Hood in Batman lore.
For gamers who would rather play a villain with an insane past, a Harley Quinn DLC update is also available and will feature Joker's trusted sidekick as Gotham's new, trusted hero.
The Red Hood DLC update comes free with Batman: Arkham Knight pre-orders from the Rocksteady store while the Harley Quinn DLC update is available over Amazon.
A promo image released on Amazon confirms earlier rumors that Harley Quinn would be added to the game as a playable character and not just a villain.
Other antagonists that will play notable roles in the video game include Scarecrow, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Two-Face and other goons and evil bosses. As a treat, a Scarecrow Nightmare Pack has also been released alongside the recent DLC updates.
"Tear through the city in the all-new batmobile and face off against a towering vision of Scarecrow and his undead army as they spread terror on the streets," the game's description reads on Amazon.
Warner Bros. initially planned to release the latest installment of the Batman video game series at the end of 2014; however, changes and later developments to the game delayed the game's release date to the first quarter of 2015. Next year, the game will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One gamers.
A trailer released for Batman: Arkham Knight confirms the new release date.
