"Battlefield 5" continues to be a subject of various rumors, which only shows that it is one of the most talked about and most anticipated games this year.

A release date has not been set, but it was already confirmed by Electronic Arts that the game should arrive this year, sometime between September and December.

There have also been speculations regarding what the game will bring to the table. It is said that the game will be set in World War I instead of featuring modern characters. With all the rumors about the gameplay, "Battlefield 5" is expected to be a huge game.

New reports also surfaced that the first-person shooter game could be based on a Frostbite engine.

DICE has posted a job ad looking for the right person to work with a team that will "plan, implement and evaluate a system for computing optimal view distances for mesh LOD transition."

The job ad also mentioned that the work will involve the Frostbite game engine. While there was no specific mention about "Battlefield 5," it's likely that the new game will run on this engine. With that said, the game will be considered the most advanced game title for that particular engine, as noted in Segment Next.

Of course, this is merely a speculation and EA DICE has yet to confirm all the rumors surrounding the game.

There were also leaks that reportedly contained DLC plans for the game. Other reports claimed that "Battlefield 5" will be a Nintendo NX game title.

Fans should take all the information with a pinch of salt, unless EA DICE makes the formal announcement. While there seems to be a waiting game at this point, fans can only hope that the company will make a big reveal about the hotly anticipated "Battlefield 5" during the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo this June.
