The Battlefield Hardline release date is due early 2015, and this time the developers promise that the game will not run into the same gameplay misadventure like Battlefield 4 did last 2013.

"What you're basically asking is, 'Is your game going to work?' and the answer is yes, it's gonna work," Hardline creative director Ian Milham told GameRevolution.

Milham added, "We actually started on this more than a year before Battlefield 4 came out. We've been working with the DICE guys for a long time; some of our engineering work is actually in Battlefield 4 and things they've been doing since then."

Developers Visceral Games is confident on how the development is progressing, especially after a successful run of the first Battlefield Hardline beta program.

"Our multiplayer development process is all about getting something in the game and iterating on it until it's awesome. 'Iterating' means implementing it, playing it, listening to player feedback, and making changes based on those opinions. We then try out those changes, again with an eye towards player feedback, and then repeat the process," Visceral Games posted in an EA blog.

For those who were not able to try the last Battlefield Hardline beta, there's a new testing phase coming out soon, mustering all feedback and suggestions from the community.

"This is exactly what we did with our first Beta. Don't worry, you'll get another chance to see what we've changed in our next Beta – and to let us know what you think! Having the right feedback to help us 'find the fun faster' is a key part of this process."

Battlefield Hardline was conceived some 18 months ago with the goal of reinventing the storytelling wheel through a television-episode presentation.

The creators are particularly proud of the "ambient thug dialogues" injected in the gameplay.

The game can be pre-ordered through EA Origin.
