"Bloodline" season 3 is all set to bring new episodes next year. Netflix has just renewed the Rayburn family drama series for 10 episodes and filming is ongoing in Florida.

Teasers for season 3 have already been released and what's certain about the return of the series is that Ben Mendelsohn's Danny Rayburn will still be back despite his death way back in season 1. It can be recalled that black sheep Danny was killed by his own brother, John (Kyle Chandler) in season 1, yet Mendelsohn will still reprise his role in the upcoming installment.

Prior to getting the green-light from Netflix, showrunner Glenn Kessler told The Hollywood Reporter how Danny is an essential character in the series who will keep coming back. "It feels like the DNA of the show is really informed by Danny's influence on his family, so that will always be there, either in death or being haunted by his memory," Kessler said.

In season 2, Mendelsohn appeared as flashbacks. The showrunner may not have specified how the actor will return but it is likely to continue that way in season 3.

Apart from Danny's inevitable return, the new season will also continue to expose the secrets of the Rayburns.

For instance, Megan (Linda Cardellini) was about to share with her mother Sally (Sissy Spacek) something big – the nature of which remains a mystery, but it's expected to be a reveal of her unpleasant deeds.

This part of the story remains a major cliffhanger that every fan would want answers to. But according to Cardellini in an interview with Deadline, being a Rayburn, Meg might tell her mother a "gigantic lie and it would be par for the course." The actress assumes that her character will be truthful this time, but since the show is about the messed up life of the Rayburns, there is a possibility that she might do the exact opposite.

Fans will just have to wait for the series to return to find out. An exact release date for "Bloodline" season 3 has yet to be announced.
