BLU Life One X specs: 5.2-inch FHD smartphone with 2 GB RAM for $150

BLU has recently released a new smartphone in its lineup - the Life One X. The affordable smartphone claims to outperform other mid-range devices like the Moto G (2015) in terms of price and performance.

"The Life One X blows the competition out of the water in all measurable features including CPU performance, Graphics, Memory, System, Battery and Web Performance. In addition, we are also coming in at a lower price point with better hardware," said Samuel Ohev-Zion, CEO of BLU Products.

The BLUE Life One X features a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution and 423 ppi pixel density. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 panel for added protection. The device comes with an aircraft aluminum frame with a matte finish and a leather-patterned back panel. It is 8.6 mm thick and weighs 141 grams.

The device is powered by an octa-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek 6753 processor, the Mali T820 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of internal storage but can be expanded up to 64 GB via a microSD card slot.

The smartphone is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and a 5P Glass Lens with Blue Optical Filter. There is also a 5 MP front-facing camera with LED flash and a wide-angle lens. The device also has the ability to record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

The Life One X comes with dual-SIM capability and 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box and an update to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS is expected to arrive before the end of the first quarter 2016.

The BLU Life One X is backed by a 2,600 mAh battery.

The BLU Life One X was initially being sold for only $99. Now, it can be purchased at Amazon for $150. The phone is also carrier unlocked.
