Chicago Bulls trade rumors 2016: Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins to improve front line?

Sacramento Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins is again linked to another team and this time it is the Chicago Bulls, who lost veterans Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah this free agency.

Noah, who was with the Bulls since 2007, left to follow Derrick Rose to New York. Meanwhile, Gasol's pursuit for a third title led him to sign with the San Antonio Spurs.

Despite the departure of two established frontcourt players, the Bulls still have a competitive group of big men that features the likes of Robin Lopez, Nikola Mirotic, Taj Gibson, Bobby Portis and Cristiano Felicio. That is a mix of experience and developing talent which is going to be helpful for Chicago's new campaign.

However, it can still be improved with the potential addition of Cousins.

No player mentioned in the unit is on the same level as Gasol or Noah. Lopez may be the closest to the two, but even he must work a little more to accomplish what these vets have in their time in the Windy City.

Cousins could be the piece the Bulls are looking for to take them to the next level. He is one of the best centers in the National Basketball Association (NBA) today. Teaming up the 26-year-old with Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo can return Chicago to the championship pedestal.

But if the Kings are parting ways with Cousins, they would want young players in return because they are leaning towards rebuilding if they let him go. Hence the Bulls may need to give up Mirotic and Portis, with Gibson also an option since he is rumored to be available on the market.

Cousins leaving Sactown may be an impossibility as of the moment but he has been in the rumor mill for the past few years and this time, it finally might happen.
