"Dark Souls 3" players will soon be able to receive new content via the upcoming "Ashes of Ariandel" downloadable content (DLC) pack, and recently released images are giving fans early looks at these additions.

Images showing off the "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC pack were recently featured in Famitsu, and DualShockers has made these sneak peeks accessible to more gamers in a new article.

Among the many things players can see in the new images are some particularly creepy-looking enemies that they should have fun dealing with as they go through the new realm featured in the DLC pack.

Some fiery magic spells are also shown in action in the new images.

Also ever-present throughout many of the new images are the snowy locales that "Dark Souls 3" players can look forward to traveling through once the new DLC pack is finally released.

While the many layers of fallen snow may obscure it, there is still a sinister presence that lingers through the land featured in "Ashes of Ariandel" and players will be tasked with trying to find out what it is.

Assisting players in their mission of finally finding and eliminating this malevolent force are the aforementioned spells as well as additional weapons and pieces of equipment.

Once players are done dealing with this mysterious entity, they can also try out the multiplayer additions featured in the DLC pack, which includes an option that will enable them to take part in three-on-three PvP battles.

Players will be able to try out all these additions as soon as "Ashes of Ariandel" is made available on Oct. 25. After that, players can expect one more DLC pack to be released for the game sometime early next year.
