"Dark Souls 3" is one of the biggest game releases of this year, and the game didn't disappoint. Fans are currently enjoying the exciting gameplay but they are up for even more surprises as developer FromSoftware has promised to provide DLCs of the game in the future.

In an interview with GNN Gamer, game director Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed two DLCs for "Dark Souls 3." One will be released sometime in fall this year and the other one will be out by early 2017.

Although the game director has confirmed the release dates for the expansions, there are now reports stating that the first DLC will arrive as early as August and the second one will be dropped on Christmas, which would serve as a holiday treat for millions of "Dark Souls 3" fans.

Miyazaki also previously confirmed that "Dark Souls 3" will be the last installment of the hit franchise, but some fans are hoping that there will be a spin-off or tie-ins. The game director confirmed in the same interview that there will be none of that sort, although there's still a small possibility that it could happen.

"There's absolutely no plan right now for any sequels, spin-offs or tie-ins. But I can't say for certain the possibility is 0%," Miyazaki said.

"Dark Souls 3" is a big success in the gaming industry, and while many would expect that there would be another sequel, it's highly unlikely that fans would get their hands on a "Dark Souls 4" since Miyazaki said that "Dark Souls" is over.

As for the upcoming expansions, no one knows the details of at this point, but it is expected that they will include new enemies, environments, bosses and new weapons.

Since significant details about the expansion have yet to be revealed, fans should just wait for the official announcement from the publisher and game developer.
