The National Football League (NFL) off-season is very busy with plenty of roster moves being accomplished. Now, the defending Super Bowl champions, the Denver Broncos, may have finished another one by trading offensive tackle Ryan Clady to the New York Jets.

According to ESPN, the Broncos shipped Clady, together with a 2016 seventh-round pick, to the Jets for a fifth-round pick.

ESPN added that for the deal to materialize, Clady agreed for his existing pact to be restructured. Now his contract is for one year, earning him $6 million with $3 million guaranteed, and because of incentives, he can get a total of $7.5 million.

Along with these changes, there is also an option year worth $10 million that could hit $13 million based on his playing time. It also has a $2.5 million bonus for February. However, Clady will be on the free agency market if the Jets will not pick up the option.

Parting ways with Clady was a bold move for the Broncos since he was a major part of their offense since he got selected in the first-round (12th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. In the 29-year-old's entire stint in Denver, he was a starter and played full seasons except in the 2013 season when he was limited to only two games due to injury.

In the 2015 season, he helped Denver achieve the greatest prize in the NFL, the Vince Lombardi Trophy, as the team won Super Bowl 50.

Along with the Super Bowl victory last season, Clady also had four Pro Bowl selections during his stay in Denver.

What the Jets are getting in the acquisition of Clady is a veteran offensive piece who is already of championship caliber and is an established player at the position. The Jets also have a pick which they can use on a talented prospect who may help them in the long run.
