'Doom: Unto the Evil' DLC release date next month: what to expect

(DOOM.com)In the "Unto the Evil" DLC, players will be introduced to a new enemy named The Harvester.

A new downloadable content for the run and gun title "Doom" has been released by game developer Bethesda Softworks. The new DLC, "Doom: Unto the Evil," will be a multiplayer expansion that is reported to be a first for the said monster shooter title.

The expansion will feature three new maps with the first two named as Ritual and Cataclysm. Fans will also have to watch out for a new boss dubbed the "Harvester," which is said to be a tough one to gun down. They're also in for a treat as the new expansion will also dish out new items, armor, and lots of firepower to annihilate endless swarms of monsters.

Meanwhile, since the new game segment is on multiplayer, players still have the option to play on their own on the campaign mode.

Furthermore, reports also say that one of the weapons added to the said DLC will be called the UAC EMG pistol and the other is named the kinetic mine. Players can also customize their marine's appearance to have a more personal touch to it.

In addition, two more game modes are said to back up the new DLC. The first mode, which is called Exodus, is similar to the classic game capture the flag, while the other will be named Sector. Bethesda will also release the Classic Deathmatch mode, which is one of the three free for all modes that will be all playable this summer.

Meanwhile, Bethesda has shown off its latest releases and game updates at E3, which certainly heightened fans' anticipation. The list includes the announcement of "Dishonored 2," new DLCs for "Fallout 4" and the latest with "Fallout Shelter," the return of the classic game "Quake," a remastered version of "Skyrim," and an update with "Elder Scrolls Online" where players can now freely roam within the game.

The "Doom: Unto the Evil" DLC will be available next month.
