'Fallout 4' news: What can fans expect from 'Wasteland Workshop' DLC?

(Bethesda)

Settlement building has turned into one of the more popular activities for players to do in "Fallout 4," and the game's next DLC drop might help make it even more enjoyable for them.

Bethesda has given players an idea of what they can expect from the upcoming "Wasteland Workshop" DLC, and apparently, the next content drop will enable them to tame and capture some of the Commonwealth's most dangerous inhabitants.

According to Bethesda, players will soon be able to "design and set cages to capture live creatures" thanks to the addition of the "Wasteland Workshop" DLC. This could mean that players will soon be able to build even more items that can be used over the course of a battle, including those that may be functional beyond being merely weapons.

Bethesda also hinted that players will be able to control their captured creatures, and this could potentially become one of the more intriguing aspects of the "Wasteland Workshop" DLC.

The teaser image for the DLC even includes an illuminated sign in the background for something known as "Live Deathclaw Fights," hinting that players may soon be able to organize competitions that involve their newly captured creatures.

It may even be possible for players to host these competitions on the grounds of their actual settlements, thus turning those otherwise ordinary locations into hotbeds of activity, intrigue and all kinds of chaos.

Aside from adding a new competition-based dimension to settlements, the next "Fallout 4" DLC may also introduce more Workshop items and features, thus allowing players to customize their creations even further.

No exact release date has thus far been announced for the "Wasteland Workshop" DLC, though it is expected to arrive sometime in April.

Players who want to try out the new content can opt to purchase the "Wasteland Workshop" DLC on its own for $4.99 or get it as part of "Fallout 4's" $49.99 season pass.
