Few details were known about the highly anticipated release date of action RPG Final Fantasy 15, until Square Enix held a presentation last month at the Tokyo Game Show 2014.

GameSpot reported the entire coverage of the panel with English subtitles. During the 50-minute extended Final Fantasy 15 presentation, interesting facts were brought to the table.

Three combat options were confirmed: basic assault button, a skill button linked with weapons and jump button. The jump button is a first for any Final Fantasy installment.

Also, a Kingdom Hearts flavor is reflected on the look of the characters which a player can now switch, by the way.

The purchase of Finaly Fantasy Type-0 will give gamers access to a Final Fantasy 15 Demo that will be unwrapped in March of 2015.

"Ultimately, you'll be able to control 14 characters that will be listed on the screen and you can choose which ones to send out into the battlefield. In comparison to the traditional FF games, magic plays a very direct role in the combat itself. If you see the sight markers that are popping up here and there, if you time the attacks well, you will attack with a critical hit or inflict massive damage," Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata told Game Spot in an interview.

While these tidbits may seem valuable to fans, many are still quite disappointed about the non-disclosure of the exact Final Fantasy 15 release date.

Speaking to Kotaku, Tabata also mentioned the significance of Final Fantasy 15 doing well in the market telling of the future of console games.

"It's not to say that I don't have any concerns at all, but I believe that it'll really depend on how Final Fantasy XV does. Because I really want more people to enjoy games in the living room, on a big screen. If Final Fantasy XV doesn't do well, perhaps there's not much of a future for console games. It kind of really depends on how that goes."
