The most recent Active Time Report, hosted by game developer and publisher Square Enix, has showcased some new exciting features for the much awaited "Final Fantasy XV." According to the report from Kotaku, aside from the different battle system, the developers of the game had included a new kind of User Interface and controls like the weapons are now mapped using the directional pad.

In addition to these new features, the latest and last ATR from Square Enix had unveiled a new character into the game franchise: The Dragoon of Niflheim, Aranea Highwind. As explained by Square Enix via IGN, Highwind is a commander in the Third Army Corps 87th Airborne Division of Niflheim.

The word Dragoon, or job class perhaps, is not new in the "Final Fantasy" lore as previous installments in the franchise had shown the class in other variations like Freya Crescent from the hit PlayStation One game "Final Fantasy IX."

Unfortunately, though, despite all the amazing news about "Final Fantasy XV," Square Enix still hasn't revealed the official release date for the game. However, more details regarding the matter is now set to be announced at the company's March 30 event called "Final Fantasy Uncovered," which is set to be held in Los Angeles and will include "major announcements and surprises," according to IGN.

Fans who would like to attend the event will have to RSVP on the official website of "Final Fantasy Uncovered." Tickets and registration are set to become available this coming Friday. However, as for the ones who cannot attend the gathering, they can still watch the announcements on Square Enix's official YouTube channel and Twitch where it will be live streamed on the day of the event.
