Samsung Galaxy Note 6 specs, launch: rumored to release in UK later this year

After a brief absence, Samsung's Galaxy Note line may be set to make its eagerly anticipated return to the United Kingdom in the form of the Galaxy Note 6's arrival.

As some might remember, folks in the U.K. were unable to get their hands on last year's Galaxy Note 5, and instead, they were offered access to the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

For this year however, it seems as though Samsung intends to reintroduce their Galaxy Note line to the people there.

According to a source spoken to recently by both Tech Radar and Forbes, Samsung is no longer planning to release the Galaxy S7 Edge Plus in the U.K. and taking its place will be the Note 6.

That may come as good news to Samsung fans in that region who were left without a new Note last year, and they may also be glad to know that the phablet could be released relatively soon.

The source also indicated that the Galaxy Note 6 may be launched in the United Kingdom sometime around August, though an exact release date was not provided.

It is worth noting that the new Samsung phablet may have a more defined release window, at least in one region.

Earlier this month, noted tipster Evan Blass tweeted out a possible release date for the new phablet in the United States.

According to the tweet from Blass, the Galaxy Note 6 may be released in the U.S. on the week of Aug. 15.

Perhaps the same, more specific release window also applies to the Note 6 in the U.K., although given that Samsung has yet to make anything official when it comes to the new phablet, people may still want to stay tuned for a while longer to find out the complete details.

Hopefully, the coming weeks, and months if needed, will provide people in both the U.S. and the U.K. with more clarity regarding Samsung's release plans for the Galaxy Note 6.
