A plethora of alleged screenshots from the Game of Thrones game adaptation have leaked online, showing familiar faces like Cersei and Tyrion Lannister. Telltale Games, the creators of the game, has yet to confirm the authenticity of the gameplay images, however.

Last week, the studio uncovered the first few details of the title via a blog posted on its official website.

"Playing as five characters not only reflects the epic scope of Game of Thrones, but is also something that the player needs to be mindful of. This is because the actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester. Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you're truly playing the Game of Thrones...where you win, or you die," the studio's blog post outlined.

The game is based on HBO's award-winning, mega-hit television drama, 'Game of Thrones,' which in turn is inspired by George R.R. Martin's books, 'A Song of Fire and Ice.' The events in the game series will pick up from the end of the third season of the TV show, and will end at the beginning of the fifth season.

Telltale released an announcement trailer last December 2013. Aside from Game of Thrones game series, the studio is also busy with the upcoming Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Game Series, which is scheduled for commercial release on Nov. 24.

Game of Thrones is expected to hit store shelves with a release date before 2014 ends. The game title will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Windows PC and OS X.
