With rumors spreading that Samsung is getting ready to launch a new Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker, analysts and customers have been waiting for more official news about it. However, Samsung has chosen to remain quiet over the past few weeks, even as its own website and others have leaked images of the device.

The latest leak pertaining to the Gear Fit 2 has hinted that the fitness tracker is close to launch. In the leak, the fitness tracker was seen in the flesh, and given that the quality of the live images were pretty good, they are likely to be promo shots. Also, the promo shots that were leaked on a Twitter account clearly showed various apps in action on the Gear Fit 2.

Going by the details revealed by the promo shots of the Gear Fit 2, the fitness tracker is also likely to have a number of new watch faces. As for colors, it is thought that the device will arrive in pink, blue and black. The images showing the colors were leaked about two weeks ago, but initially, the Gear Fit 2 was seen alongside the Gear Icon X earbuds, which are wireless and thought to be releasing along with the fitness tracker. As soon as these two devices were seen in the leaked images, analysts labeled the wireless earbuds as more interesting as they come with onboard memory and can be used to track activity as well as play music independently.

As for the Gear Fit 2, it is expected to release sometime next month and comes with a Bio-Processor which Samsung is going to be debut on the device. Compared to the first Gear Fit, the upcoming fitness tracker is also expected to have a bigger curve on its 1.84-inch AMOLED which will allow it to better fit on the user's wrist. Among its other hardware is a GPU chip, memory of 4GB and a possibly a water and dust proof rating of IP68, which will make it suitable for swimming.
