'Go Pro Hero 5' release date: Delays reportedly hitting GoPro stocks

(GoPro)The follow up device to the GoPro Hero 4 named the GoPro Hero 5 could be delayed

Action Camera enthusiast would have to wait a little bit longer as the delay for the new "Go Pro Hero 5" might be longer than what fans are expecting.

Last month, we here at Ecumenical News reported on the delays with GoPro Inc.'s new installment. The company has already stated that the new "Go Pro Hero 5" will be pushed back for a 2016 release date than the previously announced release that was expected to be by the 4th quarter of 2015.

This new delay is already taking a toll on the company, Christian Today reports that GoPro Inc. isn't only trying to appease the fans that are waiting on the new "Go Pro Hero 5" but investors as well. The late release has also reflected negatively on GoPro's stock.

The report however states that the company hopes that the delay would excite fans even further, as the delay will give GoPro Inc. more time to add new enhancements in the new action camera. According to Latinos Post, the new "Go Pro Hero 5" is expected to have a better resolution, double that of its predecessor. The camera is also expected to capture Full Ultra HD photos and videos as high as 8k resolution.

One of GoPro's signature improvement for its action camera is its ability to get great videos underwater. And the new "Go Pro Hero 5" is expected to enhance this feature by increasing its waterproof ability, it is speculated to capture film as deep as 60 meters underwater. However, the new action camera is expected to include a camera housing for diving purposes.

Day Herald has speculated to be priced at $550, but it is speculated that the price will be lower as to compete with popular action cameras that are already out in the market today.

Go Pro Inc. has neither confirmed nor denied the ongoing enhancements for their new "Go Pro Hero 5."
