Golden State Warriors trade rumors 2016: 76ers' Nerlens Noel targeted to improve depth at center?

Depth is one of the issues expected to trouble the Golden State Warriors, and the team's center position is an area that could be affected by such. To prevent this, the Dubs can add another big man, and it was suggested that they could trade for the Philadelphia 76ers' Nerlens Noel.

Currently, the Warriors have four centers on their roster. These are projected starter for the 2016-17 season Zaza Pachulia, together with Anderson Varejao, JaVale McGee and rookie Damian Jones.

Pachulia and Varejao have likely secured their slot in the final lineup, while McGee and Jones are still trying to prove themselves.

All of the names mentioned, except for Jones, are proven centers and are experienced in the league. But if the Warriors truly want to become unstoppable and live up to being a "super team," improvements can still be made at no. 5 with Noel as an option.

Noel could be a starter for any team in the National Basketball Association (NBA). His defensive ability is splendid and his offense improved last season. Having a starting five that features him, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry is a force to be reckoned with. Add a supporting cast that has the likes of Andre Iguodala, David West and Zaza Pachulia, the Warriors may turn out to be one of the most dominant teams ever built in the league.

The possibilities are numerous with this but for it to happen, sacrifices must be made. In The Inquisitr's report, the player the Warriors will ship to Philly for Noel is the veteran Shaun Livingston.

This will leave a huge hole at the point guard position, but with Curry manning the post, the Warriors may have the strength to absorb the impact of Livingston's departure.

Still, Livingston will be a tough loss since he was a key piece for the Warriors' back-to-back championship pursuits.
