The latest in the rumor mill is that the Hero 5 may come with a 3D video camera feature, something that will clearly set it apart from its competitors.

According to reports, the highly anticipated Hero 5 will come with a 3D video capture. Prior to this rumor, it was already speculated that the said device will boast of a 4K resolution camera that is able to capture images at 60 fps. If the rumor about Hero 5 being capable of 3D video capture, then, there is no denying that it will be the first of its kind.

Value Walk says that not much about the 3D feature is known at this point in time. However, the publication is certain that it will surely come with a dual-lens setup that will support the camera's alleged technology in the event that the rumor about it having a 3D feature is true.

On the other hand, apart from being rumored to come with the 3D technology, it is also alleged that Hero 5 will maintain the ability of its predecessors to be able to operate even if submerged underwater for a depth of 60 meters. This time, though, it is suspected that the device can last longer under such a condition.

It is also alleged that Hero 5 will be packed with a larger 2,800 mAh battery, which means it can have longer operating hours. Likewise, it is said to boast with Bluetooth 4.0, which, if proven to be true, will make it easier for the user to transfer his captured videos or photos to his PC or to other devices.

At this point in time, though, everything is just a speculation as GoPro has been tight-lipped about its Hero 5. However, rumors about it getting released as a bundle for the brand's first-ever drone, Karma, in the holidays have remained persistent.
