Grand Theft Auto 5 Online census counts 38M players, 2B hours played: Official GTA 5 trailer for Xbox One, PS4 [WATCH]

A week ahead of the official Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5) release date for next-gen consoles, Rockstar Games has revealed massive numbers for GTA 5 Online via their "GTA Online: The Story So Far" report. The studio expresses gratitude to 33,834,423 global players, and counting.
"We may have provided the world and the tools, but it's really you players who have made the Online world as amazing as it has become," Rockstar Games said in the recent post.
Aside from the growing online community, there are also nearly 4 million crews formed in over 224 countries. GTA 5 Online has also recorded 2.3 billion playing hours, 5 billion jobs played and around 1 billion jobs created.
Apart from these impressive figures, the official trailer of GTA 5 for Xbox One and PS4 was previewed last Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Rockstar Games has also announced that there will be an automatic title update on launch day to introduce tweaks and optimization fixes. The studio hopes to avoid the widespread and significant issues GTA 5 encountered when it first launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013.
As the community readies to explore the fictive cities of Los Santos and Blaine County on Xbox One and PS4, players are highly encouraged to use the following communication channels to report technical issues and feedback about the game to Rockstar Games Support and email GTAOnline@rockstargames.
The studio also hinted that the much-anticipated 'Heists' DLC is coming very soon.
"And get ready for continuing free content Updates for Grand Theft Auto Online, including the highly-anticipated launch of Online Heists (which, to be absolutely clear, will be available for all four consoles to enjoy)," Rockstar Games posted.
The Grand Theft Auto 5 release date is scheduled for Nov. 18 on Xbox One and PS4.
