It was good news for "Grimm" fans when it was confirmed that the show had been renewed by NBC for a sixth season. However, the bad news is the network only ordered 13 episodes instead of the usual 22 episodes. This has caused some rumors and speculations to erupt, saying that it could be the end of the beloved television series.

Deadline, however, reports that the decision to cut down the number of episodes was not final. NBC is just keeping its options open because they are keeping their schedule flexible for other shows. The network will release nine drama series, three of them are new, starting in September. They also renewed eight more drama series, which include "The Blacklist" and "Blindspot," for another season.

Furthermore, "Grimm" has remained one of the most popular and highly-rated shows of the network with a recorded 6.1 million viewers and an average of 1.6 most current adults 18-49 rating. Aside from that, the show is also doing well globally; thus, it is not likely that the network will axe the show after season 6.

Meanwhile, season 5 is about to close and fans are at the edge of their seats, guessing what might and might not happen in the season finale.

The synopsis for the two-part finale titled "Beginning of the End: Parts One and Two" reads, "Black Claw makes a strategic move against Hank (Russell Hornsby) that shocks everyone and sends Nick (David Giuntoli) on a war path. Hadrian's Wall ramps up their investigation as they seek out a mysterious man named Bonaparte (Shaun Toub). Meanwhile, Adalind (Claire Coffee) and Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) must learn to deal with their new and very unpredictable reality with Diana (Hannah R. Loyd)."

There are speculations based on what went on in the previous episodes that things will get ugly between Nick, Adalind and Renard. Moreover, Renard might end up dead in the hands of Nick, given the fact that the latter has all the right reasons to kill him.

The two-part finale will air on Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
