Houston Rockets free agency, trade rumors 2016: Team still seeking for a veteran player this off-season?

The Houston Rockets revamped their roster this off-season by adding a number of veterans but those may not be the last if Donatas Motiejūnas remains unsigned.
In a report by ESPN, it was mentioned that Houston's roster is almost set for training camp and it will likely have 20 players on it. However, if Motiejūnas will not be granted a new pact, the team is adding one more veteran.
Motiejūnas remains a restricted free agent, and as of the moment, it seems the Rockets are not going to reach an agreement with him. The 25-year-old can accept the qualifying offer to remain with the squad for at least the 2016-17 season. However, he has stated before that despite the intention of staying a Rocket, he is open to other offers and believes there are teams interested in him.
If the Rockets fail to keep Motiejūnas, the franchise might go on a search for an experienced player that they can bring in. In the report, it was mentioned that Houston's acquisition of veterans Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon, Pablo Prigioni, and Nene in this year's free agency is all about winning.
That is why it can be expected the Rockets will look for another veteran if they cannot sign Motiejūnas this off-season.
For now, the Rockets' roster features a mix of tested veterans and blooming youngsters, all led by franchise superstar James Harden. However, because they have a number of young pieces, the possibility of a trade deal to add a quality veteran or an impact player must not be counted out.
Despite a disappointing 2015-16 season, the Rockets are still viewed as Western Conference contenders. Before the previous campaign's first round exit, they made it to the conference finals in the 2014-15 season but came up short and lost to the Golden State Warriors.
