Huawei's next offering and successor to the Huawei P8 could be out in the coming weeks, with word that the Huawei P9 will be launching on April 6 in London.

Invitations have allegedly been sent out by Huawei to the press which carries mysterious zeroes which could hint at the possible dual camera feature that the upcoming flagship will be sporting.

Other than that, reliable tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) spices up things again as well via his Twitter account which all the more ramps up its possible release.

Aside from the aforementioned dual camera setup, other features worth noting about the Huawei P9 include a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It is also something that would run on a Kirin 950 processor and will be backed by a 3,900 mAh battery.

Other than that, there may be multiple variants of the Huawei P9. Aside from the regular version, there is word that Huawei could also be offering a P9 Lite, a P9 Max, and an enhanced edition.

The Huawei P9 Lite will reportedly feature a 5-inch display and bank on a Snapdragon 650 processor, while the Enhanced model will offer a 6.2-inch screen powered by a Kirin 955 chip.

The Huawei P9 Max will offer the same Kirin 955 chip as the Enhanced model and will surprisingly carry a larger 6.8-inch display screen. If the screen size is accurate, this could make the P9 Max look more like a tablet than a traditional smartphone.

The lineup seems pretty interesting as Huawei tries to ramp up its smartphone roster in an effort to sustain its success from last year.

Like most smartphone brands, Huawei is trying to catch up with leading brands Apple and Samsung and hopefully the Huawei P9 clan can help them achieve that goal and cover a larger global reach.
