Many Apple fans are already excitedly awaiting the Cupertino-based company's event on Oct. 27, which is expected to be the venue for the brand to unveil its latest Mac products, including the iMac 2016.

Although it started as rumors, it is finally confirmed that Apple is, indeed, hosting an event on Oct. 27. While Apple has yet to confirm what specific hardware it will unveil, it is suspected that iMac 2016 is one of them.

According to reports, in the event that the iMac 2016 will really be unveiled on the said date, Apple fans can expect the device to arrive in stores by November. Reportedly, the 27-inch variant of the iMac 2016 packing a 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB Fusion Drive will carry a price tag of $3,199.99.

Apart from the suspicions on the launch of the iMac 2016 on Oct. 27, rumors claiming that the upcoming Apple desktop will pack the Intel Kaby Lake processor are also rife. Nonetheless, there are those who can't help but be skeptical on whether the desktop will really come with the latest Intel chipset as the said processor is, allegedly, not available yet, although there are also reports saying that Intel has already shipped it to various brands.

In the event that the iMac 2016 does not really come with the Intel Kaby Lake processor, there are those who believe that it may come with Advanced Micro Devices' Zen chipset and Polaris-based graphics coprocessor.

Another rumored improvement that is said to come with the iMac 2016 is that the desktop will be capable of supporting virtual reality (VR) and will come with external flash drives.

As of this writing, rumors on the unveiling of the iMac 2016 on Oct. 27 are really persistent. However, there are also those who claim that the device will not be unveiled on the said date and will be fully exposed at next year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) of Apple instead.

Will the iMac 2016 really be unveiled on the 27th? Will it really pack the Intel Kaby Lake processor?

Apple fans can only wait and see.
