The iOS 8 Beta 2 can now be downloaded over-the-air (OTA), for developers having compatible iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices; or directly from the Apple's developer portal.

The updated iOS 8 Beta 2 iteration can also be downloaded to an iOS device through Settings -> Software Update.

The new mobile operating system solves the bugs that came with the first iOS 8 Beta, which was released on June 2.

As per Apple's notes in the Software Development Kit (SDK), the iOS SDK 8 provides support for iOS apps development.

It comes with complete Xcode tools, frameworks and compilers required to create apps for OS X and iOS, such as the Instruments analysis tool and Xcode IDE.

Through this software, you can develop apps for an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad that run iOS 8.

The iOS Simulator is for testing the apps. SDK 8 needs a Mac computer that runs at least OS X Mavericks (OS X 10.9.3).

Only those devices registered under the Apple Developer Program can install this iOS version. Otherwise, it will cause device instability if installed without proper authorization.

Non-developers have also installed the beta version of the recent mobile device OS, but the software is mainly intended for developers so they can update their apps, and create new ones before the release of iOS 8 in the fall.

The developers can help determine the software's bugs, and their feedbacks will be applied in this iOS 8 Beta 2 release.

The iOS beta 2 can be installed by non-developers as well. This second beta release will resolve some issues, though there will be more which will remain.

Thus, they might consider doing a rollback to the latest iOS 7.1 instead, which is Apple's most recent software release for the public.
