iOS 9.2 Jailbreak release date, news: Still no breakthrough for the latest jailbreak; 3K Assistant post gets revised

3K Assistant, hacking group TaiG's affiliate, was unsuccessful with their development for the latest jailbreak iOS 9.2, according to the revised post made by the team on the Chinese website Kuaiyong via Value Walk. This new update coming from 3K Assistant has left many fans disappointed not because of their failed attempt, but the claim they have made last month about a breakthrough.

"iOS 9.2 official version has been released from the past eight days, and in eight days, 3K Assistant has been working hard on jailbreaking iOS 9.2," 3K Assistant wrote on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo via Superphen. "Our effort was rewarded, after 8 days of hard work, 3K Assistant has finally made some breakthrough on iOS 9.2."

It is still unclear whether the team had encountered some sort of trouble during the development of the jailbroken iOS 9.2 or even the legitimacy of the claim.

So for now, though, the only best thing fans can do is to wait for more updates coming from Pangu or TaiG about the latest jailbreak version.

As for the expected release date, Gotta Be Mobile has speculated that the iOS 9.2 jailbreak will most likely come out after Apple releases the upcoming version for their operating system, the iOS 9.2.1. However, the report indicates that there won't likely be any announcement when the new jailbreak becomes available for download.

Needless to say, it is highly suggested to take these recent rumors and speculations with a grain of salt until the two leading hacking groups release an official update.

Meanwhile, Redmond Pie has advised fans to stick with the previous iOS 9.0.2 if they want to jailbreak their phone. The reason for this is because Apple has stopped the signing window for their past operating system build, which makes downgrading impossible for the users who are running on a much later OS version, specifically on iOS 9.1 or 9.2.
