Apple is reportedly preparing for some massive announcements before the end of the year, including an iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 release date,

Trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities predicted that the game changing tablets are coming most likely in September.

The rebooted version of the 2013 iPad Air is tipped to feature a significant upgrade in performance and graphics with the A8 system on chip.

Not much is expected when it comes to changes in the overall look, however, iPad Air 2 is rumored to carry similar display mode of 2048x1536 resolution, but with changes in button design and home button, and the addition of TouchID or fingerprint recognition technology that is present in iPhone 5S.

On the other hand, the third generation iPad Mini will reportedly sport a 7.9-inch screen, 2048×1536 resolution, 8MP camera, A8 processor, TouchID fingerprint scanning, waterproof features and the seemingly groundbreaking iOS 8.

The advent of TouchID technology for both tablets is momentous, especially now that it opens for app developers.

The number one target of TouchID development could be directed at online transactions – purchasing, payments and more.

Apple has hundreds of millions of credit card information on file, which puts them in an advantageous position to tap this enormous market.

Meanwhile, rumor mills also noted that iPad Mini 3 could be priced somewhere between $400 and $500 when it launches in the third quarter of 2014.

No hint was dropped by any of the speakers during the WWDC 2014 event, where the focus was mainly driven towards the development and introduction of iOS 8 this coming fall.

Alongside the anticipated entrée of iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 in the market, is the launch of two new powerhouse within Apple's turf: iPhone 6 and OS X Yosemite.
