The tech community's curiosity on Apple's tablet lines is increasing. Apple is expected to unveil its new products in September, which would debut new iterations of iPhones, Apple Watches, and possibly MacBooks. However, the upcoming iPad Air 3's fate is yet to be revealed by the tech giant.

The upcoming September event of Apple is expected to reveal new changes of vision and objectives for the Cupertino-based company. Since it is currently still one of the tech industry's leading companies, Apple may finally unveil its innovations on its products. However, there are rumors that the iPad lines will have a huge change-up.

According to reports, there are rumors that the new iPads will be released before 2016 ends. Along with those rumors include another speculation that the upcoming iPad Air 3 may be canceled. But since the iPad Air has been Apple's budget-friendly tablet product, the cancellation rumors may not be true. Apparently, there will be no iPad Minis and Airs since Apple is eyeing on a pro tablet with various display sizes.

Since nothing is set in stone yet, there have been several reports saying that if iPad Air 3 is still happening, then it is expected to be lighter than the previous one. Aside from being the less-expensive choice among the iPad family, the Air is also designed to be the lightest among the bunch. There are reports speculating that the iPad Air 3 could even be more lighter.

It may sport a 7000 series aluminum casing, which is the same casing material as that in the iPhone 6S and GS Plus. Just like the iPhones, the upcoming iPad Air 3 may finally get more color variations like the iPhone's rose gold, space gray, silver, and gold.

Under the hood, it may have an A9C chip and its rear camera may finally come with an LED flash. The iPhone's 3D Touch may not be included, however.
