Ever since rumors about the new iPhone 7 started, the 3.5mm headphone jack was consistently reported to be scrapped from the new design. However, latest leaks suggest that somehow all the rumors about this headphone jack were false.

Chinese smartphone repair shop Rock Fix (via Engadget) reportedly posted photos of iPhone 7 components and it showed that Apple has kept the standard audio jack design. Of course, this report is just like any other rumor and still must be taken with a pinch of salt, but leaks from Rock Fix in the past have proven to be right.

If Apple were to ditch the standard audio jack, it would make the new iPhone take on a much slimmer appearance. However, since the rumors began, not a lot of people were thrilled because that would only mean that they will need to buy a new set of headphones that will work via a Lightning port or wireless connection.

Apart from the headphone jack, the iPhone 7 is also said to feature dual-SIM support, which is unlikely of the Cupertino-based tech giant but also the first if true. BGR also noted that the upcoming device will also have memory chips with 32 GB and 256 GB capacity, which somehow aligns with previous reports stating that Apple's entry-level will not have 16 GB but 32 GB of storage capacity.

Meanwhile, other rumors about the new iPhone state that the device is expected to look a lot like the current iPhone 6. It is also speculated that Apple will release three variants of the iPhone 7 lineup: a 4.7-inch device, a 5.5-inch said to be the Plus model and another 5.5-inch Pro variant.

The rumors about iPhone 7 just keeps getting crazier and they're expected to continue on until Apple will finally release an official announcement.
