Square Enix's "Kingdom Hearts III" has been long-awaited by fans and some of them even thought that it will never happen at all. However, recent reports are now suggesting that the long overdue game will be adding more playable characters in the upcoming title.

As of late, it is said that there will be two new characters to the forthcoming title which includes one of Sora's adversaries in the game who is called Xehanort. This character first came out in "Kingdom Hearts II" and also appeared in succeeding titles such as "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep," and "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance." Furthermore, Master Eraqus will also be joining Sora and the rest of his crew in the game's 11th installment. Eraqus is a keyblade master from the Land of Departure and a teacher to Ventus, Aqua, and Terra from "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep." Here's a bit of info, the actor who gave voice to Master Eraqus is none other than Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.

Furthermore, the game developer posted a teaser trailer several months back about "Kingdom Hearts II.8" together with a clip regarding "Kingdom Hearts III," stating that there will be an announcement about the game this coming winter.

The video consists of three clips from previous games namely "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance" and "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X Back Cover" which came out on iOS and Android devices. Moreover, the video also shows the character Aqua as she traverses the so-called Fragmentary Passage and featured how fast the gameplay will be for "Kingdom Hearts HD II.8."

Meanwhile, there were also speculations that "Kingdom Hearts III" will introduce new characters from Disney Pixar, such as Flynn Rider from "Tangled" or a character from 2014's "Big Hero 6."

As per the teaser trailer, Square Enix will be making announcements regarding the development of "Kingdom Hearts III" this winter.
