A new "Kingdom Hearts" title is sure to land on newer video game consoles. With it being in the air for almost 10 years now, gamers are starting to get anxious about what else and when to get "Kingdom Hearts 3."

The hype for "Kingdom Hearts 3" really keeps growing amongst fans. Japanese gaming magazine and online source Famitsu has a list of the most wanted games on all platforms every week. Amazingly, "Kingdom Hearts 3" has always made its way to that list, with the title even inching higher than it ever had.

Gamers voted for their most anticipated game from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 and Famitsu released the results last Nov. 15, posted by Nintendo Everything. "Kingdom Hearts 3" has popped up and peaked at No. 7. The other title that has been on a steady rise despite not having a pinned release date is "Final Fantasy XIV." Besting that list is "Monster Hunter X."

It is understandable why fans would keep voting for Square Enix's upcoming action role-playing title. It's the first time that the publisher is bringing the franchise to a Microsoft video game platform. All 10 previous "Kingdom Hearts" titles were released only on either a Sony platform or Nintendo and also never both. But when "Kingdom Hearts 3" finally sees the light of day, it is expected to make it simultaneously to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

Because there is not much information about the game yet, fans have started creating speculations of their own. It's known that Disney titles are heavily influencing the story, with the Kingdom of Corona having a "Tangled" theme and other elements from "Big Hero 6" and "Hercules" reportedly being added to returning worlds. Some are, therefore, wishing that other Disney properties may also make an appearance. Other popular items on the character wish list are those from "Captain America" and "Star Wars."

Stay tuned for additional news on "Kingdom Hearts 3."
